This makes sense.\u00a0 After all, the end-customer wants their product or service quickly and with the highest quality possible.<\/p>\n<p>But, what if a dimension of <em>delight<\/em> and <em>fun<\/em> could be had in a supply chain?\u00a0 What if we are able to compress <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/click-to-ship-delivery-process-times\/175\/\">click-to-ship-to-receive<\/a>, satisfy the requirements of <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/traceability-visibility-order-pipeline-of-events\/279\/\">traceability and visibility<\/a>, make the <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/psychology-of-queueing-disneyland\/372\/\">wait time feel shorter<\/a>, no longer make the <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/black-holes-and-supply-chains\/473\/\">supply chain a black hole to the customer<\/a>, and make it fun and delightful?\u00a0 For me, watching how <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/shmula-eats-a-donut-lean-at-krispy-kreme\/143\/\">donuts are made<\/a> is fun and made the experience better.\u00a0 We know the <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/the-apple-iphone-supply-chain\/304\/\">supply chain of the Apple iPhone<\/a>, which is minimally interesting.\u00a0 But, is fun and delight congruent with traceability and visibility?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I&#8217;m describing Kano&#8217;s model.\u00a0 Practice over theory.<\/p>\n<p>BMW has done it &#8211; not completely, but through the good work of a BMW enthusiast, he provided this hack, which you can view below.<\/p>\n<p>The pictures below show the steps from placing his order for a BMW, through manufacturing, oversea shipping, arrival at port, over land logistics, arrival at car lot.\u00a0 Being able to track the movement of material &#8211; in this case &#8211; a BMW, is both fun and delightful.\u00a0 And, it makes the <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/attitude-and-the-pyschology-of-queueing\/463\/\">wait time or queueing time feel shorter<\/a> <sup class='footnote'><a href='#fn-2116-1' id='fnref-2116-1' onclick='return fdfootnote_show(2116)'>1<\/a><\/sup>.\u00a0 In many ways, it&#8217;s more interesting too than knowing the <a href=\"https:\/\/staging.opexlearning.com\/resources\/the-pizza-supply-chain\/460\/\">supply chain of Giordano&#8217;s Pizza<\/a>, though their pizza&#8217;s are the best I&#8217;ve ever had.<\/p>\n<p>As operations professionals, we sometimes get caught-up in our own world.\u00a0 Again, for good reasons &#8211;
